Ok, I got your attention. I want to talk to you guys about the wrapper. IMHO the wrapper development has advanced so much that we should now start to be a bit more carefull so 3dfx don't get any news about it (as some others already have been saying on the board). I now think that this developers-section is getting a bit to "public" for the wrapper. I have to this date received about 60 requests for access from people who are saying the are working on rredline, OpenGL and D3D projects. As this section is for just that I have of course granted them access. But now I am starting to feel that this kind of crowd will make the odds that 3dfx get's some news about it higher. Yesterday I got a letter from a guy claiming to be from one of 3dfx competitors (he didn't want to say who) who was interested in the original wrapper and wanted me to tell me more about it and who to contact and talka bout it. he said he also wanted to do something like it .. Clearly the wrapper has gotten some attention outside the Rendition crowd.

So, what should we do?

* Move the wrapper files away from the anon-ftp. Golden Egg pointed out to me that anyone can download them without having access to the dev-section. I have therefore moved them to another area. Se below regarding the URL

* I propose we move the wrapper-talk away from this general developers-board. In a few hours I will have something better going witha new script that will be much nicer. I propose that we limit the access to this wrapper-board to only a few people. Not everyone of the 60 who have applied for developer-access need to follow the wrapper-development.

* The files currently is under a folder in my own space which means no-one can access them via anon ftp. The URL right now is http://www.bjorn3d.com/developer/messages/rred/
Does anyone have a server where they can password protect a folder for these file? I asked digiweb but they said they couldn't help.

I want your opinions on this of course.

Best regards
Björn
